… a travel-loving couple in our 40s from Denmark.
We believe adventure doesn’t come with an age limit and that the best journeys often begin when you stop following the crowds and start following your curiosity.
Through Two Go Explore, we share real stories, detailed guides, and honest tips to help independent travelers plan meaningful adventures. Whether that means hiking through the jungle, getting lost in charming backstreets, or simply slowing down and soaking it all in.
We’re not full-time travelers or digital nomad gurus. Just two curious souls who believe travel should be fun, flexible, and completely on your own terms.
So if you’re dreaming, planning, or just browsing — you´re so welcome.
Our story begins with a swipe on a dating app back in 2015 – a modern love story that quickly became a shared adventure.
The first couple of years of our relationship was anything but calm. We were navigating the ups and downs of blending a family with four teenagers under one roof.
But as the kids grew older and eventually moved out, space opened up for something we had both been quietly dreaming of: the freedom to explore the world.
In 2019, we got engaged under the glittering skyline of Dubai, and only 4 days later, we tied the knot on a dreamy white-sand beach in the Maldives, just the two of us, two bongo drummers, and the sound of the calm ocean.
But our real travel journey begins in December 2020. With the pandemic everything shifted. Kenneth was suddenly working from home, and we saw an opportunity to live out our dream as digital nomads.
So we sold all our stuff, packed our bags, and set off for an adventure. First in Central America and later in the Balkans.
When we took off, we started our YouTube journey to document a world we would never have imagined. Along the way, we have experienced a totally empty New Year’s Eve in Mexico City, half-empty long-haul flights, and crying hotel owners thanking us for supporting their business.
Unfortunately, Kenneth was called back to the office 8 months later, but that trip changed everything for us.
We discovered the joy of slower travel, staying longer in each place, working by the pool or from a terrace with a mountain view.
It was a way of living that gave us both clarity, inspiration, and peace of mind.
And we decided to respond to that feeling. Kenneth quit his job and Christina started our Danish travel blog; RejseKompasset. Today, we run our own businesses and can work anywhere with a decent WIFI.
But we’ve found a balance between work, family, and travel.
We have chosen to keep our home base in Copenhagen, close to the people who matter most, but with the freedom to spend 3–5 months a year exploring the world.
For over a decade, I worked at several travel agencies, where I helped our clients plan unforgettable adventures. Nowadays, I have now turned that experience and passion into something of my own: blogging full-time here on Two Go Explore and on our Danish travel blog; RejseKompasset.
I am a creative soul by nature, and I rarely run out of ideas for where we should travel to next. Sometimes, I have so many ideas, that I start planning two or three adventures… only to find it very hard, which one to choose.
My biggest passion is travel, especially the kind that brings me close to nature. And if I had to pick just one thing that truly excites me, it would be the ocean. The sea has always had a special pull on me, and I am endlessly fascinated by its wildlife – especially orcas.
The tech guy and I am the one making sure everything on Two Go Explore runs smoothly, plus doing some proofreading. I attempt to bring structure to the chaos, start the Wi-Fi up in new places, and make sure everything is ticking behind the scenes, so Christina can do her magic and bring all our stories to life.
I am also one half of our photography team and the calm voice of reason when travel plans go sideways. Whether the car runs out of gas in the middle of nowhere (usually in pouring rain) or the GPS decides we should try a mountain pass meant for goats, I manage to stay calm and keep the mood up for both of us.
I am a partner in an IT company and when working – home or remote – I am fiercely helping customers getting the most out of their Microsoft Business Central ERP system.
When not working or traveling, I dive into fantasy worlds filled with dragons, elves, and epic quests. I have been a D&D gamemaster for decades, and storytelling is a huge part of who I am – one day I might even write that fantasy novel that’s been brewing for ages.
We are both born and raised in the outskirts of Greater Copenhagen, and no matter how far we travel, this city is stitched into who we are.
Christina has had a close bond with the heart of the city since childhood. Her grandparents lived right next to the king’s castle, and she was both baptized and married (first one) in the iconic Marble Church – a place that still gives her chills every time she walks past it.
Kenneth lived in inner Copenhagen for a period of his life, but his true connection runs deep into the forest. As a kid, he made the Hare Forest his own – building forts, getting muddy, and learning the trails like the back of his hand. Today, it’s still his sanctuary.
We love the contrasts of our city!
Greater Copenhagen is dotted with forests, lakes, and green spaces, yet never far from a cozy cafe. We love how the Danes come alive when the temperature creeps above 10°C, flocking to sunny corners, sipping coffee outside, and soaking up spring.
And when winter comes, we retreat indoors with blankets, candle lights, hot drinks, and that special kind of Nordic hygge that warms you from the inside out.
We may take off for weeks or months at a time, but this is the place we always return to.
Our heartland. Our home. Our calm between our journeys.
Let us show you the world as we see it.
